It was mid year 2006 when the number of accident related pertaining to motorcycle was raise to higher percentage which other result to serious physical injuries and other result into death, one civic action group Unified Members of integrated Communicators Inc. (UMICOM Civic Action Group) initiate a pro-active activity with the help of riders club to lessen the accident related cases by promoting safety campaign. At that year, Mariveles, Bataan was having only seven riders club formed including the first club organized, the Dunlop Riders Club headed by Hon. Jose Reynante Sebatian , all club president commit to impose mandatory of wearing HELMET from their members. The 1st Mariveles Motorcycle Safety Campaign was held on September 3, 2006 with its original theme of “HINDI MATIGAS ANG ULO MO” estimated of 300 riders join the campaign and it was also supported by Motorcycle Philippines Federation headed by Mr. Arturo Sta. Cruz as guest speaker. Truly tremendous event awakes all concerned and break the silence, that’s why this campaign never stop even until rainy September 30, 2007 when 2nd Mariveles Safety Campaign was held, at that time from seven club joining the event it was raise in 13 clubs from Mariveles and two guest club (Bataan Eagle Riders Club from Samal, Bataan and Lamao Riders Club in Limay,Bataan ).
One simple aim and vision from Mariveles Motorcycle community stormed the whole Province of Bataan on the 3rd Campaign last September 7, 2008 with Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla guest speaker, he remarks his Senate Bill 1863 or the Mandatory Helmet Bill as well as the Senate Bill 2149 or the Kids Off Motorcycle Bill to reduce the high number of serious injuries and deaths in accidents involving two-wheeled motor vehicles. more than a thousands of riders from different part of Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan and Olongapo City count them selves on the event. Remarkably, on the 4th Mariveles Motorcycle Safety Campaign last September 20, 2009 finally, from 20 formed riders Club with 500 members MURC was born.. Over 4 years of bonding and riding together with same mission.. We develop friendship, Vigilance and common vision
